We all know that homeowner. The one that is always telling you how you should handle problems in your home. The one that’s always breaking out the toolbox when he or she should be scheduling professional services. The one that winds up scheduling those professional services anyway when something goes awry.
Yeah. That homeowner. Don’t be that homeowner.
Our Sunny Plumbers are here to help you if and when you need professional plumbing services. And, chances are, that need is more prevalent than you may realize. Yes, there are some plumbing projects that you can handle on your own. However, there are also a lot that you may think are DIY appropriate, but which benefit greatly from a professional touch. And then, there are those issues that you should never attempt to resolve on your own, regardless of what that neighbor says. So let’s take a look at some common signs that it’s time for professional plumbing services in Las Vegas.
Oh, come on. You’re telling me that I can’t even unclog my own sink or toilet now? You’re just trying to get into my wallet, aren’t you?
No. On all fronts.
You can go ahead and try to unclog your sink or toilet yourself. We recommend keeping a plunger in your home for just that purpose, as a matter of fact. What we do not recommend, however, is going much further than that.
Removing a drain trap to clear out a shallow clog or plunging the toilet are perfectly fine steps to take on your own. When you have stubborn clogs that you can’t get rid of, though, give us a call. You don’t want to waste your money on drain augers that you won’t use successfully or on caustic chemical cleaners that prove ineffective in the long run. Trust us, hiring a pro is the way to go.
What? Now you’re going to come to my house and clean my toilet bowl and sinks to eliminate odors? Are you a cleaning crew or professional plumbers?
We’re professional plumbers, and that’s not really what we’re talking about here. We’re talking about odors of sewage on your property or in your home. That is very different than a fixture that just needs to be cleaned up a bit.
If you smell sewage or sewer gas around the house, inside or out, it’s not a problem you can ignore. It’s also not one that you should try and resolve yourself. This is a job for professional plumbers that can, if necessary, repair or replace an entire sewer line.
No leak is small enough to ignore. From a dripping faucet to a ruptured water main, any leak deserves your attention. If you just need, say, a new o-ring in a fixture to stop a drip, then you may be able to handle that on your own. If you’re uncomfortable doing so, then don’t!
Fixing a leak is different than limiting a leak. Even slow drips cost serious money over time. Plus, you don’t want to risk damaging your plumbing further as you fumble through repair attempts! Leave them to us and know that the job is done right.
